

This was at the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) and the Equipment Leasing Registration Authority (ELRA).
The Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of ELRA, Donald Wokoma and the Director General of BPP, Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, in the same line of thought, described the partnership as “a new chapter in Nigeria’s Equipment and public procurement Ecosystem which is in line with global best Practices.
Under the Equipment Leasing Act, 2015, ELRA is empowered to regulate and register all leasing transactions in Nigeria, Similarly, the Public Procurement Act mandates BPP to guarantee value-for-money and competitiveness in government transactions.
The partnership harmonizes these mandates, creating a unified process for all lease-related procurements to be duly registered.
