FG, ELRA Partner to Digitise Leasing and Empower MSMEs

The Federal Government has inaugurated the Ministerial Project Approval Board (MPAB) and launched a landmark digital transformation partnership with the Equipment Leasing Registration Authority (ELRA), a major step toward transparency, innovation, and MSME empowerment.

Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, said the initiative reinforces the government’s commitment to due process and value for money in public-private partnerships.

The partnership will digitise Nigeria’s leasing industry, expand access to equipment financing for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and enhance private-sector participation.

ELRA CEO, Mr. Donald Wokoma, outlined key initiatives including digital platforms, industry development programmes, and capacity-building to drive enterprise-led growth — in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
